Daughtry and 3 Doors Down hit Convention Hall in Asbury Park on Friday night. An awesome concert was to be expected. It was what happened during the show that was unexpected and quite generous.

The founder of Hometown Heroes, Mike Schwartz and executive director Jennifer Barna were brought on stage and presented a check for $15,000.

3 Doors Down, based out of Mississippi, are all too familiar with the aftermath of a catastrophic storm. Their region was decimated by Hurricane Katrina. That's why lead singer Brad Arnold felt compelled to give to a reputable organization assisting those in need.
