Hometown Heroes is an incorporated organization founded in 2008 to provide assistance to the community at large and help any individual or family regardless of ethnicity, gender and age that suddenly finds themselves in a crisis.

The Salvation Army’s New Jersey Division is actively seeking donations and volunteers to help those affected by Hurricane Sandy. Those in need are also encouraged to reach out to the Salvation Army. The New Jersey Division is currently working to serve to those impacted by the storm in and around Atlantic City, Brigantine, Longport, Margate City, Ventnor City.

The Southern Shore Chapter of the American Red Cross is working to provide shelter and basic essentials to those affected by Hurricane Sandy in and around Atlantic City, Pleasantville, Ocean City, Toms River, Vineland, Ventnor City, Somers Point, and Brigantine.
