A Positive Sign from a Jersey Shore Landmark
I saw this post on Facebook just a shot time ago (11/10) and just wanted to share because it provides a glimmer of hope to all of us as we start to rebuild the Jersey Shore.
So many great landmarks at the Jersey Shore were damaged during Hurricane Sandy but one that was devastated more than most was the landmark in Sea Bright, known as Donovan's Reef. Donovan's is the home for so many memories for many of us that grew up or visited the Jersey Shore over the years. It was a great moment during the benefit concert last week to see guitarist Bobby Bandiera wearing a Donovan's sweatshirt as he performed on stage. Jon Bon Jovi made an appearance today looking to help out today as well.
So as we all look for glimmers of hope as we start to restore the Shore and rebuild, it was great to see this post on Facebook today from Donovan's below:
Jon Bon Jovi came to town today to lend his support and I told him to thank Bobby B for wearing the Dono's sweatshirt on the telethon. Gov. Christie was in town yesterday assuring us all that while the road ahead may be tough, we can count on his help to get us back up on our feet. Thank God for the team we have in place of Mayor Dina Long and the rest of the Sea Bright town council. I am here to tell you they are getting things DONE. And Team Dono's wants you to know one thing as we go out to watch Daddy Pop at the Downtown tonight. WE WILL BE BACK AND WE WILL BE BETTER THAN EVER!!! xoxo
