Hurricane Sandy left a trail of destruction across the Northeast that left many long-term Shore residents in a state of shock.

The awe-inspiring images of boardwalks twisted from their foundations, well-known fishing piers torn apart and homes flooded by storm surge inspired many to look for ways to give back. The team at Sports Authority were so moved by the images that they reached out to local non-profit organization, Move For Hunger, to set up a weekend food drive to provide relief to those still impacted from the devastation wrought by the storm.

From Dec. 7th through Dec. 9th, five Sports Authority locations will be offering a 15% off coupon for anyone that donates non-perishable food items to the collection boxes at each store. The coupons are available for download at and include details on the food drive.
